Today I got called the survey lady

With my job with Statistics Canada I met a lot of people as it is my job to go in to peoples homes and ask questions. Today I was leaving the mall, when I got to my car the gentleman driving the SUV that parked beside my car asked me if I was the "survey lady." Me jumping up and down in my mind said "yes I work for Statistics Canada," this gentleman looked back into the vehicle and said something along the lines of "see I told you it was a lady!" Then he turned to me and asked if I remember him, I apologized and said my normal "with my job I see a lot of people, so sorry no I do not remember you."

I "pass" 9 times out of 10 but every time I do I am so happy, not sure how I feel about being the point of discussion of "see I told you it was a lady," and I know I don't like being referred to as it.
