Amazon is giving me my years Prime money back

So a few months back I stopped using Amazon Prime Services, I was just going to bite the bullet and just let the clock run out on my membership. I was on Lemmy* and someone said they called and got reimbursed for their unused time, while someone else replied that they got the full year refunded because they were mad at the union busting. I called, having not used their Prime Services for about 2 months now I was able to say I was mad at their union busting in Quebec and I got the whole $109 back for the year of my prime membership, in 3 to 5 days of course but it is all good.

I used Apple’s hide my email previously but I have cancelled my Apple services around the same time that I stopped using Amazon so I did not have the email account I used for Amazon, so it was a bit of a frustration to get a new email account setup with my amazon account luckily I have unlimited power to create unlimited reannlegge.ca accounts. I had no plans on forwarding that email address to the account I use to see the random email accounts but then I thought about maybe they will send me notifications about my money coming back to me.

Going back to Lemmy to read more comments on closing my account someone said they got spammed some deal for a holiday down in the states with a couple $100’s spending money. Just out of curiosity I was wondering how long it would take for me to get those spam emails, if this happens to me it will be a reminder for me to turn off the email account. That is a benefit to having separate emails for almost everything I can simply turn off email addresses if they get spammy.

*Lemmy is an open source alternative to Reddit I use the Lemmy.ca server, I guess there are alternative Canadian servers but that is just the one I use. I then use the app Voyager and it is so cool.
