I spent hours last night

Share

So I had a bit of a nap yesterday afternoon that I did not mean to have, I woke up to some video playing. I was meaning to lay down and watch something while stretching out my back, but that is neither here nor there just something fun to say.

After waking up I realized we are at war with the US, and they have the ability to do things to our infrastructure. Me being Trans know that I had to get a criminal record check done for my name change, so I thought well surely the RCMP are not keeping that data on MS 365 there is no way. So I went snooping, nothing illegal just looking at the internet via cli and damn they are using 365 for their front facing stuff and emails. So another letter needed to be written, to my MP, just out of curiosity I was wondering what Canadian company they used to host emails? Oh my Glob, they use 365 as well. So the hours I had spent already on writing the letter turned into more hours of making changes to the letter and working in how the ICC and EU where punished for stuff the US did not like and how Carney said we are at war with the US and how all our information is just in the hands of the enemy. So just a little Trans activism, framed as something else for the conservative MP in my ridding, turned into something much more and I intend to do some more work at it today.

Brad Redekopp, Your reply to Bill C-22 focused on stopping the government from turning private companies into an unchecked surveillance arm of the state. That risk is real, and worth guarding against. But it isn’t the risk I’m raising here. The infrastructure carrying police records is already
