I am doing research on behalf of the Saskatchewan Trans Health Coalition, it is so freakin frustrating when agencies tell me “We do not collect gender identification.” Most recently the Canadian Revenue Agency has told me this, I cited form RC65-18e and was told it is probably just for identification. I further enquired about the other options some of the provinces and territories are offering and was told that “maybe they need to be updated.”

I am so frustrated as Bill C16 gained Royal Assent on June 19th of 2017.
