Health cards/drivers license

BC is currently only offering on the binary on there drivers licenses, but there maybe more options in the near future. I have sent an email enquiring about the options. The health cards are only on the binary.

Albert Health does not offer anything outside of the binary. The Alberta department of transportation, where experiencing a power outage so I have to call back tomorrow. I will try again in the near future.

Saskhealth and SGI do not offer outside of the binary as of right now, Saskhealth is looking into what they “have to/can do in respects to ‘unknown’ gender”

Manitoba drivers license and health card only offers on the binary

Ontario Health Insurance Plan does not show gender on the health card but does offer the X, however if someone gets an X on your health file it gets displayed as an F to doctors as it is before M in the alphabet. The Ontario transportation department allows you to put an X on your drivers license without changing it with OHIP, but it is for ‘undisclosed’ rather than non-binary.

I will do more research on the Quebec Drivers license card in the near future.

In Newfoundland and Labrador the department of health offers a gender X, in doctors offices it shows up as an X, and the drivers licenses show an X.

Northwest Territories health offers gender X on there drivers licenses, I am waiting to find out about there health card.
