I was an Apple Fan girl
I grew up using Apple products, I continued up until today. Today is the day that I took my old Mac Mini that could not receive updates so it was just sitting there collecting dust and I installed Debian on it! I had booted it up a few days ago to get all my iTunes music off of it and onto one of my pis, I liked having the little security blanket of knowing I had a Mac that I could use but at the same time it was dangerous to have on my LAN because it was out of date so I thought I would just unplug it and know that I could plug it back in again if I so wanted. Today I decided that having a security blanky that was an outdated computer I was afraid to turn on is not the best idea. So I installed Debian, I thought about a few other distros but because Raspberry Pi OS is a fork of Debian I thought why not?
I realize there are many other distros that are forks of Debian and than forks of them but I just wanted to stay with Debian, I thought about Ubuntu and I briefly thought about Arch. Ubuntu because it is a common fork of Debian, and Arch because the package manager is pacman and I believe there is a cool little graphic in the terminal when installing things, but I just stuck with Debian for simplicities sake.
