Union of National Employees gender binary

As a UNE member I get emails frequently, today I got one and it came addressed to "Brothers and Sisters" like normal. Today however I thought I needed to stand up for what I believe in so I wrote an email (https://reannlegge.ca/une-gender-protocols/) and sent it off to the UNE officials I got an email back today, telling me they are going to "ensure we are creating and transmitting communications that are as inclusive as possible, including recognizing the full spectrum beyond the anachronistic gender binary." It feels so good to stand up and to be taken seriously.
