Vicious cycle of depression
I deal with lots of depression; so there where a few months that my depression hit me so hard that I forgot to keep popping my pills, a few of which are antidepressants so I had to find a way for my depressed behind to get back into the cycle of doing that. I wish I could say it is all better now, it is however getting there.
When I get depressed my hygiene kinda goes out the window, not my bodies hygiene but my homes hygiene. I would get depressed that it was such a mess, but that depression would prevent me from actually doing anything about it. This would lead to more things getting messed up. I was able to clean it to a point where Rosie could do the vacuuming which helped me do even more clean up. So I was able to get out of that funk.
Another funk I was in was my laundry, I was depressed to see my laundry baskets (I sort my laundry by basket, typically saves me time doing laundry, I would rotate through baskets one basket a week) but my depression lead me to not giving a poop about my laundry. My fall and winter wardrobe was still in the baskets while my spring and summer stuff was starting to get to the point where it needed washing. My depression would get me to just throw my stuff into what became a pile instead of 4 separate baskets. I would say I should do something about it now that I have a clean floor, but again my depression would say F it which lead to more depression. Today I said F my depression; I am now on load 8 of laundry for the day (it is shower curtains if that really counts?), I could probably get a 9th load but that would be my bath mat and that would mean I would have to clean my bath tub.
Cleaning my bathtub can wait a few more days, because depression is fun! Plus it is 01:00 and I am waiting on my shower currents to finish washing.
